M.O.T

M.O.T.s are charged at the DVSA standard rate of £54.85 – we offer free retests on vehicles repaired by KarTechnic (subject to conditions).

Diagnostic work

Our highly skilled technicians use industry-leading diagnostic equipment to provide fast, accurate diagnosis. The complex nature of fault-finding on modern vehicles can, however, be time consuming.

At KarTechnic we aim to provide a clear pricing policy for advanced vehicle diagnosis. Preliminary fault finding, including reading and interpreting of vehicle fault codes and resetting warning of lights: £75.00 inclusive of VAT.

If the fault is of a complicated nature and requires further diagnostic work, an hourly diagnostic labour charge will apply. From our experience over 90% of faults can be diagnosed within two hours. We are not, however, able to offer warranty on repairs carried out as the result of diagnosis by third parties, without first undertaking our own preliminary checks.
